DARK Scotch Base – Medium-Acid Adhesion Base

DARK Scotch Base is a medium-acid, moderately rigid adhesion base designed to be used as a thin underlayer beneath hard materials (gels/polygels), camouflage bases, and low-acid bases. It’s built for grip and durability—not for nail-plate leveling. 

Key benefits:

• Medium-acid adhesion base with moderate hardness

• Ideal underlayer for hard gels / polygels + compatible under low-acid systems 

• Not intended for alignment/leveling (use a leveling base over it)

• Comfortable medium-density application feel

• Often positioned as “improved formula / Scotch Base” in DARK’s line 

How to use (professional):

1. Prep + dehydrate the nail plate.

2. If needed, apply primer (per your client/nail condition). 

3. Apply a thin layer only of Scotch Base as the adhesion substrate. 

4. Apply your builder/gel/polygel or your leveling base over it.

Important notes (safety + expectations):

• This is a medium-acid base and is not meant for thick leveling layers. 

• Pro-use expectations: patch test practices, avoid skin flooding, discontinue if irritation occurs.
